give me that
bark wept
tree sugar
give me that
bark wept
tree sugar
A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“You’re avoiding me,” Loki says gently.
I bow my head, chin to chest.
I know he’s right.
my bat-winged
flutterings
looked chaotic
until the hum
that guides me
could be heard
A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“I’m tired and a little weary,” I mumble to Loki.
“I’m glad that you feel safe enough with me to tell me.
Simple fix, sweetheart. Sleep. Rest.”
I discovered myself
in darkness
the depths of which
could not be real
and that is what evoked terror in me
that I could enter those shadows at all.
A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“I’m not sure how to respond.” I admit.
“Do you need to respond at all?”
Loki presses stars on my window pane.
all my cards lay out
shuffled
some lost to the corners
chipped and folded
I couldn’t ask for a better hand
than chaos’s whimsy
A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“You have to actually speak for us to have a conversation, dear love,” Loki reminds.
My heart opens as I bow my head,
held beneath his desire that we converse.
my soul sings
to him
in warm colors
and tingle sounds
A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“Let the calm enter you.”
“I don’t know how, Loki.”
“It’s there waiting for you to choose it.” He says, my web in mending with him.
“Let wonder replace your shame.
It is your absolute right to be filled with awe.”
I feel the truth of his words. And feeling it changes me.
