“I am not that smart,” I tell him, tears stinging hot from my eyes.
“What are you measuring by?” Loki asks.
“Other people’s minds. Mine works differently. I see things simplified.”
“That’s why what you write is consumable. Complex ideas, alchemized into simple reflections of you, a mortal, and I, a god.”

Rogue talks about intimacy, writing journeys with Loki, the purpose of Hus of Crow, hieros gamos, shame and purity culture, slutty souls and slutty hearts, humor in intimacy, the divine and profane, secrets and the sacred, self-worth, humiliation, free will, and spirituality. She reflects on growing up in a cult, healing to regain sovereignty, recognizing what being out of balance looks like, finding wholeness, paving her own path, community self-checks, fluid identity, loss of identity, and finally giving up the need to have a plan.

“You are learning responsibility in your life, while I am responsible,” Loki explains.
I see, in my mind’s eye, Ragnarök and understand that Loki is capable of immense responsibility. My mortal lesson is to learn how to hold responsibility without believing I must hold it all. I am learning to carry what is mine, and not the measure of his responsibility. I am learning that my humanness is both a boundary and a protection.

A late-night edition with Lilith. She talks candidly about intimacy, celibacy, the physical and chemical dependence of trauma bonds, rebounding, and how her ancestors and Loki helped her choose celibacy. She reflects on the relief of having permission to stop, detaching from abusive relationships, withdrawal, weight gain, writing to process, personal limits, how we treat people when they are down.

“Careful of your pout,” he says, cleanly cutting through my inner malaise.
“I’d like to take advantage of those lips.”
Loki pulls me up from inside when I’ve gone too deep.
