A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“Smile for me, please,” Loki says.
He unknits my eyebrows
softens the corners of my mouth
relaxes my gaze
sparks curiosity in my brain.

the forest
gentled me,
into deep breathing
a curious witness
read a story to me
not told it to me
held wonder in its branches
without clipping my wings
