hinge popped
hatch door opened
I enjoyed watching you sneak in

I hung bats
from my earlobes
close to my throat
twice I was bitten
startled as if I hadn’t
offered them a sip
the mirrors
inside me
have teeth
and bite
vampire tooth
red
thirsty
surrendering me
my blood
a serving
of dependable love.
