the sky
laughed tears
stitching earth
the sky
laughed tears
stitching earth
dark fall
soaked cinnamon earth
roasted leaves
that crinkle under hoof
I fell down
like ground could remain soft
and the soil wouldn’t keep
me long
blue stone
good feeling
under hoof
solid
precious
grounding
maple drench
tree carameled
sapping
sun and root love
sun-stoked
seeding pearls
in soil
I died
over seed
in topsoil
rendering tree
Spent flowers
rest my body.
head wilts back into soft grass,
my hand stills.
I breathe.
The earth carries me
as my wings lift.
the earth lay fresh
i stepped into it
let it strip me down,
clay incensed
I feel afraid when I receive gifts
but my everyday is a gift.
unbearable
how sweet inhaling and exhaling is
how light plays on my skin.
pine and peppermint
scenting the air.
I have no choice
but to open
lay out
adorned
glowing.
earth between toes
fruit juice on my fingers
