I discovered myself
in darkness
the depths of which
could not be real
and that is what evoked terror in me
that I could enter those shadows at all.

A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“Omfg, Loki.
You’re teaching me not to give a fuck and not to fear death…”
“Am I?” His smug expression ignites my heart.
“I’m going to have to watch what I say around you.”
A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“I don’t want to! I don’t want to feel all this pain!”
“Okay. But can you feel the good without running away?” Loki asks.
His eyes are wide, madness in them, inviting me to play with him instead of against him.
A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“Your job is to create and share. Create and share. That’s it. Have fun, not fear. And do have fun.”
Loki lifts my heart from the floor, setting it back in place.
spooked
my blood
runs
frozen hands
adrenaline
eyes wide
thirst-pinched
lips
skin-glitching
burning masks
into ashes
pouring into alignment
beneath the trees
tears soak into grass
fear behind me
poking with a stick
i lean into it
My throat locking
lips too heavy to move
Eyes squinting, heart beating against bone
the air too quiet
kindness felt violent
panic overcorrecting
