stars take on his shape
I am caught in fragments of light
beneath the violence that wore him
kissed by his mask
I dream of sleep
stars take on his shape
I am caught in fragments of light
beneath the violence that wore him
kissed by his mask
I dream of sleep
A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“I feel lost and displaced,” I confess to him in the privacy of night.
“You are not displaced with me.” Loki assures me quietly.
My chest warms, shoulders untense.
I relax into my belonging with him.
Words burn the silence.
Tears quaking my body.
He loved my anger because it meant I was still his.
I loved it too for the same reason.
Vibrating cage bars
braced between my palms
aching from holding on too long.
My pride turned the key.
I still hold the ashes.
I stopped calling them passion.
