A Lokean Devotional Poem
cave
I left the door open
the wind and the rain
called me out from my retreat
in the middle of the storm, Loki
the sky
laughed tears
stitching earth
in the rain
hair soaked
and flattened
against my face
flame and water
steams my heart
silver sheets
rain falls
from my eyes
scattering diamonds
The storm I wore inside
flared urgent caution
knocked against the window
stretched the powerlines
beckoned me to listen
to the sounds
of approach
Naked globe
steps wet
air cold skin
warmed from the inside
hip turned
hands still warm
I taste pine
before rain
