maple drench
tree carameled

sun and root love

pinned
held
surrounding me
all corners
foundation
sound
i spit out the pit
and let him in
he planted a tree
in me and didn’t let go
Off with my head.
Energy reroutes
to stalk and root,
drinking strong and deep,
feeding
diligently.
I live.
I grow.
It is nature.
