A Lokean Devotional Poem
my heart

A Lokean Devotional Vignette
“No matter what shape I’ve taken, I’ve always found a willing mate,” Loki says casually, glancing my way.

His words seep into my chest.
my cage opened
rust dust
into branch
sky-touched
wind, mouth wide,
filled with pine needles and seeds
sun, a crown
the clouds
dip golden
my wingtips feel everything
antennae listening
and trees that tell tall tales at night
in the daylight, truth.
